Conclusion Questions
1. In as much detail as possible record the steps it took to create your video resume in Adobe Premiere Rush. Use complete sentences. Try to recall as many of the different tools and processes as possible.
The first step in creating my video resume in Cap Cut was to write my Script, outlining what I'd be saying within my video. Next I began to record my video using an iPad and to help make sure the audio was clear and the video wasn't lopsided or not centered, I made sure to use a microphone and stand. After recording my videos I began editing in Cap-cut, adding in all my A Roll and B Roll footage and made sure to organize and rearrange everything in my Timeline to my liking. While editing I also had to Cut a few clips that had extra audio I didn't need or want and to make sure my background music wasn't too long either. I finished everything off by adding small details like transitions in between clips/pictures, text, etc.
2. How does a video resume differ from a traditional paper resume?
A video resume is a short clip about job qualifications, you as a person and your work ethic. Normally under two minutes, filled with the person in the video sharing their skills, experience, and qualifications with possible employers while also being able to add more personality and be able to dive deeper into one's skills and experience.
3. How might you use your video resume in the future and how would you update it to further help you?
I could possibly use my resume in the future to apply to jobs and possibly internships in the near future. Some ways in which I could update my video to help me is to go into more detail about my work/ volunteer experiences and myself as a person, in order to spotlight more of my capabilities and work ethic.
4. Based on the learning target, "Prepare Video Resume Portfolios created for a variety of purposes and applications appropriate for 21st century sector opportunities by producing a storyboard, script, audio and video clips then combining them in Adobe Premiere” What level of mastery does your project demonstrate (Exceeds, Meets, Needs Work, minimal understanding) Why do you think so? Make sure to provide specific evidence.
I believe that my project meets the level of mastery or is on the edge of exceeding, I believe this is true because I was able to effectively meet all the standards required by having all my A roll an B roll film and adding in a few extras like some more text/ captions, many pictures and examples that followed what I was talking about in certain points of my video. If I were to have more time to complete this project, I'd make sure to add more detail and I believe this would help me get up to exceeding the standard!
